# Configuration resources & targeting

> Live MCP resources for languages, modes, voices, and study types, plus one targeting tool.

Read these resources for valid public study settings. `list_targeting_attributes` remains a tool because it searches a potentially large targeting catalog.

These resources read the same versioned public reference endpoints available to REST integrations. They contain no internal planning prompts or voice implementation fields.

| Resource URI | Description |
| - | - |
| `userintuition://catalog/languages` | Supported interview language codes |
| `userintuition://catalog/modes` | Voice, chat, and video modes |
| `userintuition://catalog/study-types` | Public study-type planning templates |
| `userintuition://catalog/study-types/{slug}` | One template's public details |
| `userintuition://catalog/voices` | Usable interviewer voice choices |
| `userintuition://catalog/panel-countries` | Supported panel countries and languages |

| Tool | Description |
| - | - |
| `list_targeting_attributes` | Search panel targeting attributes and options by name or category |

## Planning versus public write fields

The study-type catalog returns current planning templates in `study_types[]`. These templates describe use cases; `create_study.study_type` describes the research method and accepts `in-depth-interview`, `concept-test`, or `prototype-test`. Historical use-case labels on existing studies may not be selectable templates. Do not use catalog prompts to draft a moderator guide in the MCP host. `customize_study` applies the selected template instructions.

The voices resource returns `{ voice, name }` choices. Pass only the `voice` value, `male` or `female`, to public study tools; the name is a display label. No external preview URLs are exposed by this catalog.

`list_targeting_attributes` gives readable panel targeting labels and their IDs. Saved study targeting also resolves to readable labels; check approximation notes before describing who qualifies. Panel targeting does not apply to BYOP studies.

Concept links and images are managed through `customize_study`, not separate MCP tools.
